Overview

The Role

We have four luxury restaurants and a functions kitchen at Millbrook Resort, and our Head Chef is responsible for providing outstanding service to our guests. This role provides direct supportive to our Executive Sous Chefs, and ensures menus and dishes are created to perfection. We focus on being a part of a collaborative team, delivering a tailored five-star dining experience, and as Head Chef you will oversee aspects of the kitchen operation - form menu design and team leadership to food quality, safety and cost control. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone passionate about modern cuisine, seasonal ingredients and building strong kitchen culture.

Success Profile

• Minimum of four years' experience in a similar role and comparable environment
• Previous budgetary experience
• Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
• Previous management experience including training and motivating staff
• Desire and passion to cook with fresh, quality ingredients sourced from local producers
• Willingness to push culinary boundaries and learn new skills
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays
• Relevant qualifications
• Excellent food safety standards
• Drivers license advantageous due to our location

Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown

Hours: Full time guaranteed 30/40 hours per week
