The role
Join our dedicated Housekeeping team at Millbrook Resort, where we take pride in delivering exceptional service across our extensive range of luxury accommodation. This role is all about creating memorable stays — from offering a warm welcome to ensuring every detail is perfect for our guests. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team, providing a high-end, personalised cleaning service across the resort, including our premium accommodation, Health & Fitness Centre, restaurants, and award-winning spa.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for check-out cleans, which include making beds, scrubbing bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and restocking supplies. Daily room servicing is also a key part of the role — ensuring our guests return to a clean, tidy, and welcoming space. You will also report any maintenance issues in a timely manner to ensure a seamless guest experience.
This is a hands-on, physically active role involving repetitive tasks and movement throughout your shift. You will be working in both indoor and outdoor environments, making it ideal for those who enjoy being active and surrounded by nature in one of New Zealand's most stunning resort settings.
Success Profile
- Cleaning experience in five-star Hotel or comparable environment preferred
- Have a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills and take pride in high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with both guests and team members
- Show attention to detail and a proactive approach to reporting maintenance issues
- Ability to work on independently while also being a strong team player
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to respond to a variety of situations with a collaborative and flexible approach
- Be physically fit and capable of handling the demands of a hands-on, fast-paced environment, as role involves regular manual handling, repetitive tasks, and being on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays in line with operational requirements
- Drivers Licence advantageous
Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown
Hours: Full-time permanent and fixed term positions available (30 / 40 hours per week guaranteed)
