We're seeking a dynamic Wedding & Events Executive who thrives on delivering seamless, luxury experiences. From liaising with clients and vendors to ensuring every detail is flawlessly executed, you'll be the driving force behind memorable occasions at Millbrook. This role blends organisation, creativity, and relationship-building with a strong focus on maximising revenue and guest satisfaction.

What will your day look like?

  • Meeting with clients or wedding planners to finalise event details
  • Coordinating with Food & Beverage and Reservations teams to ensure catering and accommodation are perfect
  • Producing detailed run sheets and briefing staff ahead of upcoming events
  • Conducting site inspections or hosting wedding tastings with couples
  • Liaising with external vendors for signage, AV, or transport requirements
  • Supervising and motivating operational staff during live events
  • Creating surprise-and-delight moments that elevate the guest experience
  • Reviewing pricing, collateral, and KPIs to drive revenue growth
  • Partnering with marketing to promote Millbrook as a premier wedding destination
  • Acting as the main point of contact for groups onsite and ensuring smooth billing post-event

Success Profile

  • Experience in a five-star service delivery environment required.
  • Knowledge of the operational side of events and previous experience in wedding and events coordination preferable.
  • Previous resort or hotel experience advantageous.
  • Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences with a creative flare in the surprise and delight space.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and foster positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Good understanding of contracts, accounts and invoicing preferable.
  • High level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, coupled with a ‘can do' attitude.
  • Proven track record of creating and driving revenue generating ideas, hitting targets and working within budgets.
  • Proven ability to develop and nurture internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise & problem solve whilst under pressure.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist other departments within the Hotel if required.
  • Ability to manage your own schedule with flexibility to accommodate to operational demands, including to work evening, weekends and public holidays.

Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown

Pay Rate: $65,000 - $70,000 gross per annum based on experience

Hours: Full-time permanent (30/40 hours per week guaranteed)
