Digital Marketing Executive

As our Marketing team continues to grow, we are looking for a capable and driven Digital Marketing Executive who is motivated by meaningful work and thrives in a dynamic environment.

The Role
This is a specialist-level digital marketing role designed for someone who brings strong expertise in at least one core digital discipline, such as: Paid Ads, social media, eDM/Email Marketing, or Web Design/Development. You will use that depth of skill to elevate our digital capability while continuing to broaden your experience across the full digital mix.
You will manage and optimise digital activity end to end, lead two external digital agencies, and support major digital transformation projects underway over the next year. The role spans retention marketing, email strategy, website optimisation, and performance analytics, giving you real ownership and influence.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-focused, and able to interpret digital performance data with confidence. Strong copywriting skills are an advantage. Experience in tourism, FMCG, or service-based industries is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute digital campaigns with a focus on optimisation, performance, and customer engagement
- Lead and manage two external digital agencies across paid media, content, and website projects
- Optimise website content, landing pages, and user journeys to improve traffic, engagement, and conversions
- Drive retention and lifecycle marketing, including email campaigns (EDMs) and personalised content
- Coordinate paid media activity to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong ROI
- Analyse digital performance and prepare clear, actionable reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline digital processes and improve efficiency
- Stay informed on digital trends, tools, and technology
About You
- 2+ years' experience in a digital marketing role
- Specialist-level expertise in at least one area: Paid Ads, social media, eDM/Email Marketing, or Web Design/Development
- Experience developing or executing digital retention or lifecycle strategies
- Comfortable collaborating with external agencies and internal stakeholders
- Confident using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, CMS platforms, CRM systems, and eDM tools (e.g. Mailchimp, Klaviyo)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and copywriting abilities • Bonus experience: CRO, A/B testing, SEO/SEM, marketing automation, or segmentation
Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown
Hours: Full-time permanent (40 hours per week guaranteed)
