The Role

Millbrook Resort's landscape is iconic; the peaceful setting allows our guests to ‘escape the everyday,' as they enter the resort. This role provides the opportunity to ensure the resort gardens and private properties are maintained to the highest horticultural standards, providing quality services and adding real value to our operations. This is a key position, and the successful candidate will need to have a strong focus on excellence, being part of a collaborative team and have a ‘can do' attitude and a flexible approach. We are looking for people who love working outdoors in all weather conditions and have a knowledge of a variety of Landscape maintenance activities.

Success Profile

• 1-2 years previous gardening experience desirable
• Knowledge of maintenance activities such as irrigation control, arboriculture, lawn management and pest control is desirable
• Excellent communication skills, coupled with a ‘can do' attitude
• Must be physically fit and able to carry out manual handling
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in all weather conditions
• Willingness to learn new tasks and develop horticultural knowledge
• Ability to work independently using own initiative, as well as an effective team player
• Great time management skills
• NZ Drivers Licence desirable

Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown

Payrate: $28.00 - $30.50 gross per hour based on experience

Hours: Full time permanent (30/40 hours per week guaranteed including over the winter period)
